The Creality Timelapse Kit is an external trigger module that lets you create professional time-lapse videos of your 3D prints using your own camera, smartphone or action camera of choice. Instead of relying on a fixed, manufacturer-specific solution, Creality uses a flexible module that sends a trigger signal layer by layer and automatically synchronises your chosen recording device. The result is sharp, smooth time-lapse footage of your prints.

How the Timelapse Kit works

After each layer, the 3D printer sends a shutter signal to the Timelapse module. The module then triggers your external camera, capturing the print image by image. At the end, the individual shots are combined into a smooth time-lapse video.

Three connection options for maximum flexibility

The Timelapse Kit is designed for a wide range of recording devices and offers three trigger options, which can even be used at the same time:

1. Bluetooth connection: compatible with all recording devices that support the corresponding Bluetooth shutter standard; ideal for smartphones or Bluetooth-enabled cameras, for example.

2. Shutter cable connection: compatible with cameras that have an external shutter input, such as DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

3. Servo shutter connection: for devices without Bluetooth or a shutter input. The module presses the shutter mechanically using a servo motor, making it ideal for older cameras, action cameras or smartphones without a compatible app.

Convenient network setup

Before first use, the module is simply connected to your local network, using the same Wi-Fi as your printer. The kit can then be controlled via the Creality environment. Suitable 3D models for mounts and accessories are also available to download from crealitycloud.com, allowing you to position the module optimally on your printer.

Note: The Timelapse Kit can control a maximum of 3 devices at the same time: 1 via cable, 1 via servo shutter and 1 via mobile phone Bluetooth. Up to 10 Timelapse Kits can be connected to one printer.
