Prusa Prusa XL to Prusa XL+ Upgrade Kit, 1 tool head

The Prusa XL to Prusa XL+ Upgrade Kit upgrades an existing Original Prusa XL fully to the hardware specification of the XL+. The kit is available in versions for 1, 2 or 5 toolheads to match your existing configuration.

Rather than supplying individual retrofit parts, this kit brings together everything that distinguishes the XL from the XL+ in a single package: new GT1.5 belts, more powerful print fans, an integrated nozzle wiper, revised cooling for the electronics and toolheads, plus more than 30 high-temperature-resistant components made from PC and PCCF. The 2- and 5-toolhead versions also include an automatic tool-offset sensor with the required wiring.

Automatic tool calibration

On the multi-tool versions, an electronic sensor replaces the previous mechanical pin-based alignment process and automatically calibrates the tool offsets. The process is up to 15% faster than before while also providing even greater precision.

Finer surfaces with fewer visible artefacts

The new GT1.5 belts provide smoother, more consistent printhead movement. This makes fine, repeating patterns significantly less noticeable, particularly on the large, smooth surfaces that are often printed on the XL.

Revised cooling for continuous operation

New, more powerful print fans for each toolhead, an updated 360° fan shroud and improved cooling for the mainboard and heatbed control board support reliable operation even under demanding conditions. This directly improves overhang quality and reduces the need for support structures.

Clean starts for every print with an integrated nozzle wiper

The integrated nozzle wiper automatically cleans each nozzle at the start of a print. This enables more precise pre-print calibration and helps deliver cleaner, more consistent results from the very first layer.
