Description
The Positron V3.2 is a portable 3D printer born from a collaboration between KRALYN and LDO Motors. Thanks to a foldable, compact design, the kit fits into a standard filament box and can be taken anywhere - the perfect choice for any hobbyist. The printer with a clever kinematics system is assembled in less than 90 seconds and is immediately ready to complete your 3D models with a maximum printing speed of 250 mm/s and an acceleration of up to 8000 mm/s².
Flexible, adaptable and versatile
- The printer uses Klipper to support high speeds and a smooth printing process.
- The printer is versatile and can be customised: add a filament runout sensor, an integrated power supply or additional cooling.
Good to know: The printer works “upside down”.
► Note: Some parts of the Positron kit must be printed by you. So make sure you print these parts before you start building the printer! Detailed assembly guides and printed parts files can be found here or on GITHUB.

Ran into the first problem: instead of one MF148ZZ and one MR148ZZ bearing, my kit contained two flanged bearings.

Fun build but....
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
I purchased the kit as a self-gift during Black Friday 2024. The build was fantastic, and I gained a lot of knowledge. I also experimented with heat-set inserts for the first time, which was an interesting experience. The included LDO instructions were straightforward, so I have no complaints about that.
However, I’ve encountered a few problems. Initially, the extruder tool board was defective. 3D Jake assisted me, but the wait for the replacement part was excessively long (3-4 weeks).
After receiving the replacement, I believed I had a functional printer, but then the extruder began leaking, which is a known issue. Once more, 3D Jake provided support, but I’m still waiting for the replacement part. It’s March 2025, and I’ve already been waiting three weeks. Five months later, all I have to show is a rather disappointing 3dbenchy.
** EDIT **
I wanted to just update this review. I left it hanging I feel and perhaps there was a degree of frustration coming through.
So....
I have now had my positron running for sometime having replaced all those faulty parts. If I had a better out of the box experience then my review would have been more positive. The faulty parts have been replaced and I have some time to push filament through it. After calibrating it and creating a profile I have to say it does a great job. The portability was a key factor for and I am super pleased. Was this rating helpful? (0) (0)
