The PROXXON Screwdriver Set 1/4" is a high-quality, versatile tool system for precise assembly, maintenance, and repair work. It features robust materials in carefully engineered, high-precision designs for professional use in workshops, model making, and precision mechanics.

The set includes sockets from 4 to 14 mm and 16 hex bits made of high-alloy special steel. The set also includes adapters for hex/square drive (magnetic holder to socket) and hex/square drive (ratchet to screwdriver bit). Additionally, angled hex keys in sizes 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 mm are included.

High-performance ratchet made of CrV steel

The centrepiece of the set is the 1/4" ratchet, forged and hardened from a single piece of CrV steel. The precision-engineered 52-tooth ratchet mechanism ensures that multiple teeth engage simultaneously, reliably transmitting very high torque. An integrated release mechanism allows for quick and easy removal of the sockets at the push of a button. For optimal protection, the surface is double nickel-plated and then matte chrome-plated. The ergonomic handle, made of oil- and acid-resistant TPR, is securely attached and features a hanging hole.

Driver system for optimal power transmission

The PROXXON Driver System transfers force not through the corners, but through the flanks of the screw or nut. This leaves edges undamaged, and the force transmission is particularly efficient and gentle on the material.

High-quality inserts

All inserts and handling elements are made of high-carbon CrV 31 CrV 3 steel for consistent hardness. The bit blades are made of special chromium-silicon-manganese-molybdenum alloyed steel. The deep forging of the hexagonal sides ensures that even protruding threaded bolts do not interfere. Despite the thin-walled construction, there is no risk of breakage. Bevelled contact surfaces facilitate insertion, while precisely milled square fits ensure a secure engagement in the ratchet.

Robust steel box

The set comes in a durable, powder-coated steel case with a precisely fitting, torsion-resistant moulded polypropylene insert. The insert is oil- and acid-resistant, easy to clean and permanently marked with clearly legible size indicators for all key widths.
