Description

The Prusa Prusament PETG is a versatile, high-performance filament designed for functional and mechanically demanding 3D printed parts. Combining strength, toughness and temperature resistance, it is ideally suited to technical applications, prototypes and durable functional components - and is even used to manufacture parts for Prusa printers themselves.

One of PETG’s key advantages is its excellent layer-to-layer adhesion, resulting in strong, dense parts. This makes printed components suitable for water-resistant applications both indoors and outdoors. Compared to PLA, PETG is significantly tougher and less brittle, meaning parts are less prone to cracking under load.

The “G” in PETG stands for glycol-modified PET. This modification reduces brittleness, improves printability and enhances optical clarity in semi-transparent variants. PETG also exhibits low thermal expansion, so even larger prints are less likely to warp or lift from the print bed - often without the need for an enclosed build chamber.
