Piracy still fascinates people today. Who doesn’t know them, the stories from the 16th to 18th centuries, when lawless pirates were up to mischief, especially in the Caribbean and off the coast of South America. They insidiously attacked ships in search of gold, silver and coins and then disappeared again in the dark. The pirates put their prey in safe hiding places on one of the many small hidden islands.
