Description
Spectrum PEBA is a technical, flexible premium filament based on a polyether block amide copolymer, engineered for applications requiring high elasticity, dynamic rebound, and reliable mechanical properties. Thanks to its special molecular structure, it combines the flexibility of elastomeric materials with the dimensional stability of technical plastics, offering higher resilience, lower damping, and improved energy return compared to TPU.
Dynamic Performance through High-Rebound Effect
The unique molecular structure of Spectrum PEBA ensures that the material doesn't simply absorb energy, but actively stores and releases it—the so-called High-Rebound Effect. As a result, printed parts snap back to their original shape instantly and react significantly more dynamically, which is especially noticeable in sports components, shock-absorbing elements, or moving parts.
Reliable in Heat, Cold, and Continuous Mechanical Stress
With a Shore hardness of 92A, elongation at break exceeding $500\%$, and stable performance in a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, Spectrum PEBA is particularly suited for applications that demand high elasticity, dimensional stability, and wear resistance simultaneously. Furthermore, thanks to its low density of 1.02 g/cm³, it allows for the manufacture of components that are both lightweight and robust.
►Applications:
- Cushioning elements, shock absorbers, flexible hinges,
- Sports and protective equipment,
- Inserts, seals, flexible connections and belts,
- Components for robotics and automation,
- Functional prototypes with high elasticity and durability.
