SUNLU LW-PLA White, 1,75 mm / 800 g

SUNLU LW-PLA is a lightweight PLA filament that can be used to print significantly lighter parts than standard PLA thanks to an active foaming effect during printing. With a density of just 0.84 g/cm³, it is particularly suitable for model aircraft, drone parts and other applications where every gram matters.

Light as a feather, but stable

Compared with standard PLA, LW-PLA reduces the weight of identical models by around 30% without sacrificing the familiar print stability. When heated, the material expands slightly and forms a fine-pored internal structure, reducing mass while maintaining a comparable wall thickness. For RC aircraft, this means lower wing loading, a lower stall speed and noticeably improved flight characteristics.

Matt surface, ready for paint

Instead of the typical PLA shine, the printed surface has a fine matt finish with good absorbency. This allows paint and primer to adhere particularly well, an advantage for anyone planning to paint model aircraft or cosplay parts afterwards.
