Description
GEEETECH PLA Wood is a PLA-based 3D printing filament that has been manufactured with wood fibres. The material prints just like regular PLA, but gives off a woody scent when printed.
The printed objects look similar to a wood carving. Because the wood filament contains real wood fibres, the printing temperature can be adjusted during printing to create different shades of colour. Printing at lower temperatures produces a lighter colour, while higher temperatures produce a darker colour.

Mediocre wood PLA spool
Some stringing on Bambu A1 with default PLA settings. The "wood" looks fine so far mid-print, but a bit matte with no grains which I really expect from a wood-look filament. Not too much wood in it, I did not smell it while printing either and black walnut seems lighter in color than in the pictures. The roll is expensive at 18.75 CHF/kg, so not amazing value.
Another warning: The roll inner ring is larger than the standard size. It will slip of the Bambu AMS lite. You need a separate spool holder to use it with the AMS or use it on the ext. filament spool for you A1 printer.
Pro: The spool was rolled more cleanly than on the 3djake preview pictures here.
Not worth the buy IMO over other wood filaments or simple brown ones. Was this rating helpful? (0) (0)
